Anam Naqvi

Anam is a sharp, original comic whose work consistently surprises audiences with intelligence and perspective. Her material thoughtfully explores themes like feminism, patriarchy, and colonialism, delivered with clarity, wit, and an effortless ease that draws people in. She was named top 10 new comedians out of 160 entrants in the Tiny Underground Newbie Award, where she also won the Best Joke Award, in 2025. She has also opened for solo shows of comedians like Greg Shapiro, Sharon Em, Sundeep Bhardwaj and Rashi Agarwal.

1.5 years of stand-up experience. Yes, I have developed a 35 minute show, which I am progressing to an hour. Yes, I have hosted a few open mics in Amsterdam and Utrecht (in Netherlands) as well as a split bill. I have provided writing workshops for students before with the idea of looking at a life event in different light.
